Dennis Gorski is a husband, father, grandfather, and business owner. Having grown up in the Milwaukee area, he and his wife, Jane, moved to Batavia, IL with their four kids in 1999 for Dennis’ career in financial services. He ultimately became a managing partner of a nationally recognized firm and helped it grow to well over 100 advisors. In 2017 Dennis launched his own boutique financial planning firm which consumes most of his time, energy and creativity today. When not working Dennis is attracted to volunteer roles of leadership and service at impact organizations such as churches, HBCU, and Habitat for Humanity. He is most passionate, and finds the greatest joy, in family (just ask him about his eight grandkids), travel, nature, personal development in others, and the Green Bay Packers.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

Quite frankly, I believe I am answering God’s calling. Several years ago I was first struck with the idea to work in, or start a planned giving organization and there have been numerous nudges along the way. I believe we are filling a great void. There are so many people out there who have been blessed with God’s abundance and they simply haven’t been invited, or don’t fully know all the ways they can bless and impact others with those blessings. In addition the by-products of generosity for self and others are amazing. They need to be shared. I am most humbled by what has already been happening as we have invited others into this ministry. It is a validation of God’s plan and provision.

Jason and his wife Jodi and their three children, Zeb, Aliza and Jozef, are on a faith adventure in Chicagoland having been “sent” from their home state of Iowa to share God’s light. His vocational journey has spanned executive leadership roles in the business, nonprofit and church spaces, primarily serving in Executive, Teaching and Lead Pastor roles as an ordained pastor. He has helped successfully launch major initiatives, ministries, churches and organizations and has also consulted in those contexts for growth and development. Jason loves connecting with all kinds of people as a relational guy, and he most enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, staying physically active in fitness and sports and helping people live life to the fullest.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

Having helped Dynamis launch and develop its Generosity Plan process initially, I became passionate about the vision and sensed God’s favor on the ministry’s work. Living out a spirit of generosity is one of the ways we can be most like God’s nature. God generously gives to the world as everything we have comes from him. When we’re generous with our very person and the things we’ve been given, we are giving God the glory he deserves. Not to mention, generosity has a direct path to joy, and there’s no better way to live than to love and bless others. Dynamis Ministries exists to grow this experience in people’s lives. It’s exciting to be part of the movement!

Ben Berg is a grateful generalist navigating in an increasingly specialized workforce. His professional experience includes managing in the non profit sector through roles with park districts and Special Olympics, coaching college level strength and conditioning, and being a laborer on a horse farm. Through it all he's most enjoyed intersecting with a diverse range of people while offering and receiving teaching, encouragement, and life lessons along the way. In his free time Ben enjoys reading, eating cereal, strength training, and longing to be in the mountains with a pack on his back.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

I like the idea of potentiality that Dynamis Ministries has built its name around. To me potentiality can signify growth and I'm excited to be part of something that facilitates this growth. Growth in the spiritual journey of individuals, growth in the generosity in churches, and ultimately growth in the Lord's Kingdom. I enjoy working with others and seeing them discover their own dynamis and the possibilities of what can be accomplished as a result.

Keith Wollenberg has worked in the technology industry for almost 20 years. He has a wide breadth of experience working and digging into all things tech, including website development, database design, software development and design. Keith resides in St. Charles, IL with his wife (Julie) and son (Luke) where they enjoy spending time with friends, family, bike riding and going out to eat. One interesting note about Keith, besides the fact he always talks in the third person, is he is nearly 7 feet tall.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

I love Jesus and want others to know the love and peace that comes with having a relationship with Christ. Dynamis is a vehicle for that, directly and indirectly. Also as far as my own spiritual growth I love the idea of being surrounded with a bunch of other Jesus freaks and working with them in this ministry.

Brian Becker is a consultant and executive leadership coach to nonprofits. Through collaborative work with his clients, Brian helps design transformational plans towards larger impact, builds stronger and more effective boards, and raises more money. This happens through consulting, facilitation, and executive coaching to shift the culture and thinking towards possibilities.

Brian is a husband, a father of two young adult kids, a grandfather…and child of God. He loves music- listening and performing, sports, and two-wheeled things (motorcycles, scooters and bicycles).

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

Congregations are vitally important to The Kingdom and to their local communities because this is the place where the saving grace of Jesus Christ is proclaimed. Congregations are the place where we gather to confess sins, receive forgiveness, give, pray, praise and offer thanks to God. This is an immensely important thing, albeit rare in society.

Also, congregations are a vitally important partners to the local community, along with schools, hospitals, etc. Why that matters is that here families find community, friendship, respite, and trusting relationships. Here children see their moms and dads and other adults serving, giving, and acting in ways that demonstrate moral and ethical behavior that helps kids build self-confidence, character and skills that serve God and “love their neighbor.”

While companies, schools, and other nonprofits can contribute in important ways, they naturally place the “self” at the center of their work, so it’s “all about me.” The church places God at the center, and thus all of our work, service, development of faith and family places God at the center. This demonstrates, appropriately, that we’re all about being in-service to a calling that is much greater than self. Any small effort that I might provide to help strengthen that is worth it.

Jill is a wife, daughter, and mom of three girls. Born and raised in Chicago, she attended college in Texas, and since 1988, she and her husband, Brian, have lived in California, Florida, Wisconsin and currently Tennessee. She has over 25 years of experience in communications and writing/editing; the majority working with non-profits. Most recently Jill was a volunteer coordinator for Dora Comfort Dog Ministry in Milwaukee - part of Lutheran Church Charities K9 Ministry.

She has a heart for Christian education, connecting with others, and serving those in need. She loves spending time with family and friends, hiking, sports, music, books and travel. Jill is grateful to her parents for giving her wide open spaces! If you give her any personality test, she will score in the absolute middle - every. single. time.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

She believes there is a real need for conversation about generosity - what it means, how we talk about it, what we do about it. Generosity - of time, talent and treasure - is at the heart of who we are as God’s people. Jill’s hope is that we are bold enough to have those conversations and keep Christ at the center.

Amy Clark is enthusiastic about making everyone feel like one of the cool kids. She loves working every day with financial professionals by supporting and engaging the growth of their practices. With over twenty years experience in financial services, she has worked in several positions including administrative, customer service, training and launch, Private Client Banker, Private Client Financial Advisor, Community Engagement Leader, and now her favorite role as a Regional Marketing Specialist. Through steadfast collaboration, Amy helps match talented people with the right resources to improve their impact on those around them. Amy loves staying connected to her family and friends by talking on the phone, facetiming, and sharing gifs and memes. She is also one of the last remaining church organists and is a regular church pianist—even in zoom church. She is an avid reader of personal and professional development books and likes finding new nature trails for fun.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

On my very first day of my very first job out of college, my boss challenged our team to write a list of 100 goals, from the smallest most mundane to the biggest far out dream. One of the goals I wrote that day was to have a million dollar charitable gift to my favorite cause. I still have the list and I still have that goal. I’m excited to be a part of Dynamis Ministries to learn more and help spread education on how we can all increase our generosity threshold in new ways.

Ray Shimizu’s life’s work demonstrates his leadership and caring nature. He has worked in personal financial services for over 28 years because he is passionate about the impact it can make on his client’s futures. He has served in numerous leadership positions within the financial industry’s advocacy and professional associations. Ray became a Christian just 13 years ago and has founded and participated in numerous men’s ministry and Bible study groups. He and his wife Stephanie worship at Elevation Church. Ray not only exhibits his care for others in his professional work, but also in the tremendous commitment of being the primary caregiver for his mother-in-law who suffers from degenerative Alzheimer’s. To relieve stress you can often find Ray on the racquetball court or lifting weights.

Why Dynamis?

Having worked with churches and people of faith and their finances for many, many years, I have witnessed the strain on dollars to achieve ministry. And I believe that is only going to worsen in the years to come. I believe that my experience and an organization like Dynamis are a perfect combination and can make significant impact.

Tony Ciro has been married for 32 years. Tony and Erica have two children. Tony was a corporate lawyer for 28 years before moving into ministry in 2019. He has served on several Christian non- profit boards.

Tony has a passion for working with children and being part of ministries that are going out and serving in the name of Jesus. He feels it is a privilege to be called by God to serve in a place that is making a difference for God’s Kingdom.

Tony enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Even though he and Erica have lived their entire lives in Illinois their greatest joy is spending time at the beach.

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

There are so many options where we can use our time, treasures and talents. When we know where God is directing us to use our time, treasures and talents, not only do more individuals and organizations benefit from the generosity but our relationship with God grows stronger. The Dynamis process helps to keep Christ at the center of determining where we should use our time, treasures and talents He has given us.

Natalie McLaury, wife to Ryan, mom to four adventurous, creative kids (Brecken, Callum, Tahlia, and Truitt), is always on the go! After seven years in finance and international business, she paused to raise her kids and has since spent time in church communications before switching gears to work in enrollment at her children's school. She'll tell you giving tours and working with prospective families is an excellent use of her skills and the most fun she's ever had in a job! She can most often be found coaching her daughters' soccer teams, cheering her kids on in their activities, playing pickleball, or running. Natalie is an avid reader, but she learns her favorite stories by asking questions of the people around her! "You ask really good questions" is her favorite compliment. She loves to travel, especially with her family, and is terrible at sitting still!

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

I believe I am Loved + Sent. That is, loved dearly by Jesus--so much so that He would give His life for mine--and therefore sent out into the world to share this message with others. Generosity is an excellent way to fulfill this. I am loved by God / He has been generous with me, and in response I want to go out and be generous with others! There are so many ways to do this and I love that Dynamis Ministries helps people examine their own lives, recognize how much they have to work with, by way of money, skills, time, and talents, and then look for ways to utilize it for the sake of helping more people know they are Loved + Sent.

Luke has been active in various aspects of the mental health field over the past 32 years. He brings a passion for helping those who are hurting and need support. He has been more involved lately in helping to build programs that bring needed services to youth and families.

Luke now lives in Bloomington, MN, with his wife of 28 years, Gail. Together with Gail, he has one young adult daughter, three adult stepchildren, and seven grandchildren. He can frequently be found jogging and camping, and he is active in his local church. He also enjoys a good IPA and watching the Packers whenever he can!

What draws you to Dynamis Ministries?

The call for radical generosity aligns well with what I feel God is calling me to and how I can serve him. Dynamis is significantly increasing its ability to influence others to live more generously. I am blown away by the possibilities that exist with others living more generously through Christ. I want to be part of an organization that makes a difference in this world and reflects the light of Christ to others.

I had the opportunity to develop a generosity plan early in my exposure to Dynamis. It put generosity in a new perspective for myself and my wife. Now that we are empty-nesters, we're thinking more seriously about how we can serve God, and we believe being generous is a significant part of that calling.
